T225 · 225A TRACK BUSWAY SYSTEM

3-Pole T225 Tap-Off Units

All three phase conductors supply three-phase equipment. Include neutral when the equipment connection requires it.

Three phases + neutral. Select the connection you need.

The standard T225 busway shown is a three-phase, four-wire system: L1, L2, L3 and neutral (N). Its grounded housing provides the separate equipment-grounding path.

The tap-off fitting connects the conductors needed for the unit’s circuit. The supply voltage and selected conductors determine the available voltage; the tap-off does not change voltage.

Fits T225 busway only. Match the unit’s ratings to your supply and load.

T225 3-pole connections & wiring references

These tap-offs fit T225 busway. The system rating is up to 225A per phase, per feed; each tap-off has its own marked voltage, current and protection rating.

The tap-off uses L1, L2 and L3. The T225 3-pole outlet-box guide includes L15 and L16 connections without neutral, and L21 and L22 connections with neutral. Ground is provided separately.

Supply examples

  • 208V three-phase from a 208Y/120V supply
  • 480V three-phase from a 480Y/277V supply

For a 415Y/240V three-phase supply, request a matching rated T225 assembly. Three-phase equipment requires a three-phase supply; a 120/240V single-phase panel does not provide three-phase power.

T225 tap-offs are factory wired and have no field-wiring terminals. Use the selected unit’s drawings and instructions for the actual connection.

The outlet-box guide covers its listed receptacle configurations. For a drop cord, use the technical documents for the selected drop-cord assembly.

The standard assembly carries three phases and neutral. The grounded housing provides the equipment-grounding path.

Model-based cutaway; supply routing is schematic. IG and 200% neutral configurations differ.
