T225 is listed for use up to 600V. 208Y/120V is one supported project configuration, not the only T225 use case.
-
Conductor options
Available conductor configurations include Standard, Isolated Ground, 200% Neutral, and 200% Neutral + Isolated Ground.
-
Tap-off configurations
Compatible T225 tap-off units can support 1-pole, 2-pole, and 3-pole load configurations.
Designing a Track Busway Layout
Engineers can design Track Busway layouts using the resources available on TrackBusway.com, including installation guidance, BIM tools, and complimentary layout drawings prepared from project ceiling plans.
How the 225A Track Busway System Is Assembled
Pre-assembled straight sections are joined on-site using mechanical and electrical joiners, then powered through end feed enclosures.
Because the conductors run continuously along each busway section, plug-in power units can be installed anywhere along the open busway slot to deliver overhead power where it is needed.

Build a 225A Track Busway Run
A complete T225 run is built from coordinated busway lengths, feed units, joiner kits, suspension hardware, end caps, and compatible tap-off units. Match busway lengths and feeds to the project conductor configuration.
Inside the 225A Track Busway System
USA TrackBusway 225A uses insulated copper busbars housed inside an extruded aluminum enclosure to deliver continuous plug-in power distribution along the entire busway run.
Unlike traditional feeder busway systems that provide fixed tap locations, the TrackBusway design maintains an open access slot along the housing. Plug-in units connect directly to the internal busbars, allowing power to be added exactly where equipment is located.
This architecture enables facilities to distribute power overhead while maintaining the flexibility to reposition equipment, add new circuits, or reconfigure production layouts without installing additional conduit.

T225 Power Tap-Off Units
Breakered T225 tap-off units attach anywhere along the open 225A Track Busway slot to deliver protected power directly below the busway run. Choose drop cord or outlet box configurations for 1-pole, 2-pole, or 3-pole power distribution.

After the 225A busway run is planned, select tap-off units by load configuration. Pole count describes the tap-off breaker/load configuration, not the total number of conductors in the busway.

1-Pole Tap-Off Units
For line-to-neutral loads. Use where the load requires one phase conductor and a neutral.

2-Pole Tap-Off Units
For line-to-line loads. Use where the load is supplied from two phase conductors and does not require a neutral.

3-Pole Tap-Off Units
3PNG indicates 3-phase with neutral and ground. 3PG indicates 3-phase with ground and without neutral. Do not use no-neutral configurations for line-to-neutral loads.
Optional Critical Power Monitoring for 225A Track Busway
For projects that require monitored-feed visibility, 225A Track Busway can also be offered with optional critical power monitoring at the feed and tap-off units.
This gives facility teams a clearer way to review source-level electrical conditions and supports projects that need greater visibility in uptime-sensitive environments.
Where 225A Track Busway Is Used
225A Track Busway is ideal for facilities that need higher-capacity overhead power with the flexibility to add, relocate, or reconfigure plug-in access along the run.
Common applications include manufacturing lines, automation cells, offices, laboratories, and other environments where equipment layouts evolve over time.
225A Applications for Higher-Capacity Layouts
Data Centers
Colocation, AI/HPC, and mission-critical rack power layouts often need higher-capacity overhead distribution with flexible access to protected tap-off units. T225 can support 208Y/120V layouts, 200% neutral conductor options, and localized plug-in power access for rack rows and evolving critical-power environments.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. T225 is listed for use up to 600V. 208Y/120V is one supported project configuration when the selected conductor configuration and source support it.
Standard, Isolated Ground, 200% Neutral, and 200% Neutral + Isolated Ground.
1-pole tap-offs serve line-to-neutral loads, 2-pole tap-offs serve line-to-line loads, and 3-pole tap-offs serve 3-phase loads.
225A Track Busway is used when a project requires higher-capacity overhead power distribution, larger tap-off loads, or more detailed electrical coordination than a 40A layout. Projects using T225 tap-off units often require the additional capacity and flexibility provided by a 225A system.
