Configured Track Busway ROWs
ROWs are configured straight runs of USA TrackBusway for bringing plug-in power directly over work areas, equipment lines, benches, or production cells. Each ROW uses pre-wired busway lengths, feeds, hangers, joiners, and tap-off units including Power Drops, or Outlet Boxes to create a straight overhead power run.
Use ROWs when the project needs a linear busway layout. For broader busway terminology, use Busway Fundamentals. For application routing across industrial, laboratory, automotive, and data center spaces, use Overhead Power Distribution.

Track Busway ROWs are built from pre-wired lengths that can be joined together to extend the run wherever power is needed.
Each length arrives factory-sealed, and circuitry continues by inserting a joiner between adjoining lengths. If a run should stop electrically, it can dead-end at that point. If new circuitry is needed farther down the ROW, a new feed can be added to start a separate powered section.
This modular approach allows overhead power distribution to expand, stop, or restart exactly where needed without redesigning the entire system.
How Busbars Work in Track Busway ROWs
A Track Busway ROW is a straight modular run made from busway sections, feeds, joiners, and plug-in units. Inside each busway length, conductive busbars carry power along the run so compatible PowerDrops, outlet boxes, and lighting fittings can tap power where needed.
Like other busway and bus duct systems, Track Busway uses busbar conductors inside a protective housing. The difference is that a ROW is configured as a straight open-channel run, giving facilities flexible plug-in access along the workspace instead of relying only on fixed drops.
In simple terms, the busbar is the conductive component that carries current; the busway is the complete prefabricated system that houses the busbars and provides the structure, connections, and approved plug-in access.
BusBar Configurations
The busbar conductor layout determines the voltages available along the ROW.
Single-phase ROWs use three conductors (L-L-N) for 120V and 208Y systems.
Three-phase ROWs use four conductors (L-L-L-N) for 208/480V distribution.
