Overhead Power Distribution Applications

See how USA TrackBusway® supports industrial, laboratory, workplace, automotive, warehouse, assembly, and data center environments where layouts and electrical needs change over time.

What Is an Overhead Power Distribution System?

Overhead power distribution keeps the electrical path above active work areas, allowing plug-in power, lighting, and tap-off access to remain close to the equipment being served.

USA TrackBusway® keeps plug-in power accessible above active work areas. Power drops, outlet boxes, and lighting connections can be added or moved along the run as equipment, benches, racks, or workstations change — without fixed conduit rework.

Built for facilities where layouts change faster than traditional wiring can keep up.

For PowerDrops, outlet boxes, and tap-off unit selection, see Track Busway for Power.

Flexible Overhead Power for Changing Facility Layouts

Track Busway creates an overhead plug-in power path for facilities that need to reconfigure equipment, workstations, lighting, racks, or production areas.

Qualified personnel may install or relocate breakered tap-off units while the busway remains energized. The unit’s integral circuit breaker must remain OFF throughout installation, removal, relocation, and reinstallation. Switch it ON only after the unit is fully installed or reinstalled and secured.

Track Busway Across Project Types

Track Busway provides adaptable overhead power for commercial and industrial facilities where equipment layouts change. The continuous open channel allows plug-in power to remain accessible above the work area.

How Track Busway Delivers Plug-In Power Overhead

Track Busway delivers accessible plug-in power from an overhead open channel. Power drops, outlet boxes, and other compatible devices connect along the busway run, keeping electrical access close to the work being performed.

As equipment layouts change, qualified personnel may install or relocate breakered tap-off units while the busway remains energized.
