Key Features

Voltage Compatibility: USA TrackBusway™ is ETL-listed for use on systems up to 600 V. Typical operating configurations include:

  • 208 V (120/208 V 3-Phase 4-Wire) service commonly used in commercial and light-industrial facilities.
  • 480 V (277/480 V 3-Phase 4-Wire) service used in large industrial or high-bay environments.

Conductor Configuration: Three hot conductors, one neutral, and two additional conductors — one spare and one that can be designated as an isolated ground for sensitive equipment.

Applications: These configurations allow the system to deliver reliable, balanced three-phase power for a wide range of applications such as manufacturing floors, automation cells, warehouse grids, and data-center aisles where layouts evolve and power needs expand.

Why It’s Better: Modular by design — USA TrackBusway™ allows three-phase power to plug-in anywhere overhead. Extend or re-feed circuits if additional amperage is required.

Compliance: ETL-Listed to UL 857 standards for overhead plug-in busway systems.

Description

USA TrackBusway™ Three-Phase Lengths deliver scalable, overhead plug-in power for multi-circuit and high-load environments.

Each steel housing is pre-wired with three hot copper conductors, one neutral + an optional isolated ground, and factory sealed with end caps to form a self-contained grounded section ready for installation.

Power may continue through abutting sections using USA TrackBusway™ Joiner Inserts, or additional feeds can be added anywhere using a USA TrackBusway™ Line Feedwith integral overcurrent protection.

The continuous access slot accepts plug-in power taps like Power Drop Cords or Outlet Boxes anywhere along the run—no rewiring or downtime required.

Available in galvanized, white, or black finishes, and in lengths of 2.5', 3', 5', 7', and 10'.

If three-phase power drops are not required, you may want to explore single-deck lengths for 120/208Y single-phase power distribution.

3-Phase Busway Wiring Configuration

Each USA TrackBusway™ length contains three copper hot conductors, one neutral, and a spare conductor that can be designated as an isolated ground when required. This configuration supports standard three-phase, four-wire operation and accommodates:

  • 1-pole tap-offs – for single-phase loads using one hot and neutral.
  • 2-pole tap-offs – for single-phase loads using two hots (line-to-line).
  • 3-pole tap-offs – for three-phase loads using all three hots and neutral as required.

Plug-in tap-offs can be installed or repositioned anywhere along the continuous slot—no conduit, no re-termination.

Busway tap-offs with isolated-ground are available for sensitive equipment and clean-power applications.
