The 40A 3-Phase PowerDrop Cord brings three-phase power from overhead USA TrackBusway to equipment through a single female locking cord-end connector.
Choose L15 or L21 for 208V systems, or L16 or L22 for 480V systems. Each connector is supplied with a matched 20A or 30A, 3-pole circuit breaker. L21 and L22 include neutral; L15 and L16 do not.
The assembly connects lower-deck phases A and B and upper-deck phase C through the included whip. Choose galvanized, black or white and specify cord length. Compare all eight connector configurations.
For T40 40A Track Busway (40A per feed). T40 identifies the compatible busway system, not this tap-off’s amperage. Select the tap-off’s own current rating, voltage, pole count and protection from its specifications.
This 208V system example shows the feed, lower-deck phases A and B, upper-deck phase C through the whip, and neutral (N). The selected cord connector determines whether neutral continues to the equipment. Choose the matching factory build for 480V systems; the diagram is a system connection reference.
This breakered PowerDrop connects a compatible 40A Track Busway run to equipment below through a flexible cord.
Build the supply path with 40A track busway lengths and the appropriate power feed.
Match the selected tap's voltage, phase connection and breaker rating to the supply and equipment. Use the Track Busway system design guide to plan the complete layout.
Simplify Overhead Power
Track Busway transforms open ceiling spaces with an innovative system that eliminates traditional overhead power structures, simplifying installations while maximizing flexibility.
Pre-Wired Power Infrastructure: Deliver branch-circuit power exactly where it’s needed using pre-wired Track Busway lengths. Power drops can be added, moved, or reconfigured without rewiring to support evolving layouts.
Plug-and-Play Power Access: Tool-free, plug-in power taps with multiple receptacle options provide fast, reliable access to overhead power while maintaining code-compliant distribution.
