This 2-pole PowerDrop cord tap-off plugs into the 225A (T225) Track Busway system and brings the connection to equipment below the overhead run. It supplies protected line-to-line power for compatible 208V or 480V single-phase equipment, with receptacle and branch-circuit ratings determined by the selected configuration.
For 225A Track Busway (225A per feed). T225 identifies the compatible busway system, not this tap-off’s amperage. Select the tap-off’s own current rating, voltage, pole count and protection from its specifications.

Reposition without shutting down the busway
Compatible breakered tap-offs can be hot-swapped by qualified personnel while the busway remains energized. Switch the tap-off breaker OFF before insertion, removal or relocation and leave it OFF throughout the work. Switch it ON only after the unit is fully inserted and securely locked.
Follow the T225 manual, Steps 5–6 and site procedures. This permission does not extend to feeds, joints, servicing or non-breakered devices.

Where should a 2-pole PowerDrop be positioned? Place the drop near the equipment connection and measure the full cord route, including the distance down from the busway and across to the machine or workstation. Account for access panels, service aisles and equipment movement so the connector can be reached without routing the cord through the work area.
